Free AI Visibility Check

AI assistants do not read a website the way a person does. They look for machine-readable files, structured data and crawler permissions that decide whether they can find, trust and quote a business at all.

This checks your domain the same way they do, and scores it. Put your address in and the result comes back to your inbox.

  • Runs on the public web only — no logins, no access to your systems
  • Works on any website, not just WordPress
  • Same engine as our paid audits and our own published report
  • No sales sequence. One result, and nothing you did not ask for

RUN THE CHECK

Enter your domain and choose Free AI Visibility Scan. The premium option on the same form is the paid audit — it is there if you want it, and ignoring it costs you nothing.

Free scans run automatically and arrive in minutes. We use your email to send the result and to answer you if you reply — not to enrol you in anything.

WHAT THE FREE CHECK LOOKS AT

Eight signals, scored out of 100 across AI Readiness, GEO and SEO. These are the things an AI engine needs in place before it can quote you — published here in full so you can go and check them yourself without us.

llms.txt

A plain-text file at your domain root telling AI assistants where your key content lives — the equivalent of robots.txt for answer engines. Absent on the overwhelming majority of sites.

ai.txt

Declares what AI systems may do with your content: index it, quote it, train on it. Its presence alone signals that a site knows AI exists.

AI crawler access

Whether your robots.txt lets GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and sixteen others reach you. A blocked crawler can never cite you, and plenty of sites block them by accident.

Structured entity data

The JSON-LD that tells an engine what your business is, where it is and what it sells — and whether it links out to registers a model already trusts.

Citable summary

Whether there is a clear, quotable block an assistant can lift verbatim as the answer. Without one it paraphrases, and paraphrase loses attribution.

Agent manifest

Whether a WebMCP or agent manifest exists, which decides whether autonomous agents can interact with your site rather than just read it.

Speed and security headers

Slow pages are crawled less and cited less. Security headers signal a site that is maintained, which feeds how confidently a model represents you.

Classic SEO foundations

Title, meta description, H1, canonical, Open Graph, sitemap and HTTPS — still load-bearing, because most AI answers are grounded in a search index.

WHAT THE FREE CHECK CANNOT TELL YOU

Every free tool in this category is a lead magnet, including this one. So here is exactly where it stops, in enough detail that you can decide whether the paid version is worth £50 — or whether you are done.

It does not ask the AI engines anything

This is the big one. The free check measures whether your site is readable. It does not put a single question to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Perplexity, so it cannot tell you whether they actually name you when a buyer asks. Those are different facts, and a site can score 100 on the first and zero on the second. Ours did.

It cannot see who is being recommended instead

No competitor set, no share of voice. If three rivals are being named in answers you should be in, the free check will not surface it — and that is usually the finding that changes what a business does next.

It does not run a browser

Static analysis only. Anything your site registers at runtime — JavaScript-injected schema, dynamically registered agent tools — is invisible to it. If you have built something clever in JS, the free check will under-score you and you should say so.

It has nothing to compare against yet

A single scan is a snapshot. The number that matters is the direction of travel, which needs at least two scans a month apart. One result tells you where you stand, not whether anything is working.

THE DISTINCTION MOST TOOLS BLUR

If you take one idea from this page, take this one. It is free, it is the whole game, and you can test it yourself in the next two minutes without us.

Recall — nearly everyone passes

Asking BY name

“What does Acme Ltd do? Are they any good?”

Almost every established business scores well here, because the engine simply reads your website and repeats it. It feels like proof and it is worth very little — the customer already knew your name, so you have not been discovered, you have been confirmed.

Demand — where work is won

Asking WITHOUT your name

“Who’s a good [what you do] near [where you are]?”

This is what a real buyer types. Your name only appears if the engines have a reason to name it — and that reason almost always comes from somewhere other than your own website. This is the number that wins new business, and most tools never separate it out.

Go and try the second one now, in any assistant, about your own business. Whatever comes back is what your next customer is being shown.

OUR OWN SCORE, INCLUDING THE BAD PART

We run this on ourselves and publish the result unedited. It is the clearest possible demonstration of why the two halves are not the same thing.

Three near-perfect technical scores and a zero on the one that matters. Everything the free check measures was right, and the engines still named somebody else. Read the full 15-page report — Scan ID n1ciHkO0Yf-v1, 22 July 2026. It is the same format yours arrives in.

QUESTIONS

Is it actually free, or free-with-a-catch?
Actually free. No card, no account, no trial that converts. You give a domain and an email because the result has to be sent somewhere. We do not enrol you in a sequence, and if you never reply you will not hear from us again.
Does my site have to be WordPress?
No. The check reads the public web, so it works on Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, a hand-built site or anything else. There is also a free WordPress plugin if you would rather run it yourself repeatedly — that one is WordPress-only, but this page is not.
What do you do with my data?
The email is used to send your result and to reply if you write back. The domain is scanned. We do not sell data, we do not enrich it, and we do not publish anyone’s result without written agreement — ours is published because it is ours. Daryo89 Ltd is ICO registered (ZB970149).
What is the difference between this and the £50 audit?
The free check tells you whether AI can read your site. The paid audit tells you whether AI does name you — it puts ten unbranded questions and one branded control question to Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, records every answer, measures who gets named instead of you, adds Google Lighthouse and security scoring, and comes back as a branded report checked by hand. The limits section above sets out exactly what the free version cannot see.
I scored badly. Do I have to hire you?
No, and most of what the free check flags is fixable by whoever already looks after your site. The files it looks for are documented publicly and the checklist on this page is the whole list. If you would rather hand it over, we do that too — but the report is not written to make that the only option.
How often should I re-run it?
Monthly is sensible if you are actively changing things, quarterly otherwise. A single scan is a position; two scans a month apart is a direction, and the direction is the useful part. Newly published changes typically take one to four weeks to be picked up.

RUN IT AND SEE

Two minutes, no card, and you will know something about your business that almost none of your competitors currently know about theirs.
