Version 2.0 — 29 September 2026. This policy applies to daryo89.com and to the pages our software serves on this site. It is written for the UK and for the EU and EEA and is read with our Privacy Notice.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser; similar technologies (local storage, pixels) do the same job. Some are needed for the site to work; some remember your choices; some measure how the site is used. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025) and EU law (the ePrivacy Directive) require your consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary, with narrow exceptions. We ask through the banner you see on your first visit, and you can change your answer at any time from the “Manage consent” control at the foot of every page.

We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no social-network cookies: sharing buttons on this site are plain links.

3. Your choices

  • The banner. On your first visit you can accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Strictly necessary cookies are set regardless, because the site cannot work or remember your choice without them.
  • Change your mind. “Manage consent” at the foot of every page reopens the banner. Withdrawing consent stops new cookies of that category; to remove ones already set, clear them in your browser.
  • Your browser. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies; blocking strictly necessary ones may stop parts of the site working (login, checkout).
  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat it as a refusal of analytics and preference cookies.

4. Cookies and the law since February 2026

The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 amended PECR from 5 February 2026 so that certain low-risk cookies — for the site’s own statistics, for appearance and functionality preferences, and for security — may be set without prior consent, provided you are told and can object. We continue to ask before setting analytics cookies, because our analytics run through a third party (Google) rather than on our own server. If we move to first-party analytics, this policy will say so and the banner will change. The Information Commissioner’s guide to PECR explains the rules.
