Noinim Advisor: dedicated-server speed on shared hosting

Noinim Advisor S.r.l. provides executive management control, corporate finance and fiscal planning. For a firm whose clients buy trust, a slow website was sending the wrong message — and the hosting could not be changed.

Application-layer performance engineering on shared hosting, Core Web Vitals remediation

Objective

Remove the performance ceiling of shared managed hosting

01 · The challenge

A slow website for a firm that sells trust

Noinim Advisor S.r.l. advises executives on management control, corporate finance and fiscal planning — work where trust is the currency. Its website was sending the opposite signal.

Our initial audit found a mobile performance score of 80 and a Largest Contentful Paint of 4.4 seconds. In finance, digital friction reads as organisational friction. The root cause was structural: the site lived in a restricted shared managed-hosting environment, a “walled garden” with a hard ceiling on hardware performance.

02 · The diagnosis

The “bloatware illusion” and latency leaks

Previous maintenance providers had tried to buy speed rather than engineer it: generic, heavy caching plugins added weight to the page without touching the underlying server latency — a racing spoiler on a car with a flat tyre.

The site also leaked latency through third-party calls, fetching its typography from external font servers on every visit. Each round trip added render time, and sent visitors’ data to a third party for no good reason — avoidable GDPR friction.

03 · What we did

Engineering the application layer, without root access

The shared host would not give us root access, so we worked where we could: the application layer.

Plugin clean-up and a calibrated cache

We removed the ineffective legacy plugins and configured WP Rocket by hand to the host’s specific input/output limits, rather than on its defaults.

A leaner page

We minified the page structure and deferred all non-essential JavaScript, so the restricted hardware delivers the above-the-fold content first.

Fonts hosted locally

We removed every call to remote font servers and served the typography from the site itself: zero external requests, and no visitor data sent to a font provider.

Removing those remote dependencies also reduced the site’s third-party exposure, and the site now holds a Grade A security posture.

What this engagement did and did not measure

Noinim Advisor S.r.l. logo

Noinim Advisor is named here with its written consent. The figures above are the outcomes that were tracked at the time. This work predates AI-visibility measurement, so there is no AI citation baseline for it — and we are not going to invent one retrospectively.

Every engagement now starts with a multi-engine audit that records whether the AI assistants name the business when a buyer asks without using its name, and every report carries a Scan ID so any figure can be traced to the run that produced it.

We publish our own audit on the same terms, including the parts that do not flatter us. Read our own report (PDF, opens in a new tab).
