For charities · the community initiative
Digital infrastructure for non-profits
Charities should spend their funding on their mission, not on agency retainers or 5 % aggregator fees. We build enterprise-grade platforms for recognised charities — free to design in Cambourne and CB23, open-book across the UK — with a donation portal that takes no commission and running costs written down.

Maximise your donation yield
Every penny paid in platform fees is a penny diverted from your cause
Most charities and local .org.uk domains are trapped: they rely on third-party donation platforms that take 3 to 5 % of every donation, and on agencies priced for corporates. We think that is wrong, so we use our engineering to build assets non-profits own, bypassing the middlemen.
The CB23 pro-bono protocol
In Cambourne and CB23, we donate our time
If your registered charity or community organisation is in Cambourne or the CB23 corridor, the design is free and you pay only the running costs.

Not in Cambourne? We still support the UK
Open-book pricing, every line shown
If your charity is outside our immediate area we still refuse to charge corporate agency rates.
The raw materials
The exact cost of the domain, the premium theme licence and the donation engine.
The 25 % overhead
A strict 25 % applied to the raw cost — the tax we pay on it and a small margin — and nothing else. No VAT is added.
The result
A custom-engineered platform that would cost £5,000-plus from an agency, for a fraction, with every line shown.
Open-book example
A UK charity, a full site with a 0 % fee donation engine, one year
| Line item | Approx. |
|---|---|
| .org.uk domain | £13 |
| Premium theme licence (Kadence) | £10 |
| Donation engine (FluentCart), once | £100 |
| Managed web care (£20 × 12) | £240 |
| Raw total | £363 |
| + 25 % overhead (tax on it and a small margin) | £90.75 |
| Year one | about £454 |
After year one: about £263 a year of raw cost, plus 25 %. In Cambourne and CB23 the 25 % does not apply and the design is free, so year one is about £363 and each year after about £263. No VAT is added to any figure: Daryo89 Ltd is not VAT registered.

Questions
What charities ask first
Is the web design really free?
Yes, for registered charities and community organisations in Cambourne and the CB23 corridor — the founder’s home — under the community initiative. Elsewhere in the UK we charge open-book: raw cost plus 25 %.
What is the catch?
Two things, and only two: you cover the raw cost of third-party software or services (domain, theme, donation engine), and you allow a small, unobtrusive credit link in the footer.
What does the £100 donation portal include?
A FluentCart engine on your own site: one-off and monthly gifts, event tickets or merchandise if you need them, Gift Aid capture, receipts — with 0 % transaction fee from us. The card processor’s fee is the only cost per gift.
What does open-book pricing mean outside Cambourne?
We calculate the exact raw cost of the domain, the premium theme and the donation engine, apply a strict 25 % overhead (the tax we pay on it and a small margin), and you receive a platform that would cost £5,000-plus from an agency for a fraction of it — with the line items shown. No VAT is added: Daryo89 Ltd is not VAT registered.
